Long-tail — Long keywords with low monthly searches and low competition (e.g. “startup marketing tips for small business owners”)
Social Signals — Social shares; signal to Google for website popularity
Backlink — Inbound link from a site to yours (verb form: backlinking, linkbuilding)

Here are the best ways to get an efficient keyword research and optimization... 

  1. UberSuggest : Displays a ton of relevant keywords when you type in a single one. You can also filter by geographic location, and by media type.
  2. Use Soovle to come up with keywords from Wikipedia, Amazon (works well for affiliate marketing), Yahoo!, and more.
  3. Use relevant keyword in the alternate description of images you upload to the post.
  4. Use your keyword and relevant phrases twice in H2s, H3s, and H4s throughout your blog post.
  5. URL of website page should have the keyword in it, Example: Checklist 2016: 50 Ways To Improve Your Website SEO
  6. Mention your keyword once or twice in the meta description. At the same time, make those 156 characters. Good title more traffic from google.
  7. Tag your blog post with appropriate keywords (between 3-5).
